Red Maples (Acer Rubrum) are vigorous growers with relatively small leaves and can develop large trunks and quickly look much older than they are. One of the easiest of the maples to grow, the red in the fall colour, is a sight to behold.

Well the tree is showing some signs of life now, two small leaves have appeared. Guess it's up to me now to keep it alive. As promised I am updating this review to 5 stars.
