Barbados Cherry
The Barbados Cherry Bonsai (Malpighia Pendiculata) is native of the Caribbean. This tree flourishes beautiful pink flowers that grow into small, round, edible fruit. With its oval-pointed leaves and tasty fruit, this fast-growing Bonsai is perfect for any Bonsai artist!
Placement
This is an indoor Bonsai and loves a TON of sun. A grower's light is recommended but not needed. You can place this Bonsai on a south facing window. During the hot mid-summer days, the Barbados Cherry loves to get a good sun-soaking in, but be sure to bring it back inside during the night. They should not be outdoors when temperatures are below 10°C.
Watering
This Bonsai does not like their soil to be completely dried out. When watering, water thoroughly until the water runs clear from the bottom.
Humidity
A humidity tray is recommended if the Bonsai tree is placed indoors. This will help boost the humidity around the tree.
